January 2023:
The primary school, La Encina in Madrid had a charity party and a bring and buy sale. The school donated the money raised to The Food Bank of Madrid and to Adelante África.
This money will be used by our Young Women's Sewing Class so that more young girls will be trained in how to sew clothes and other products in order to support themselves and as an alternative to early marriage.
The children of Omwaana Tugende Children's Home made a video to say thank you in their own language to the children of La Encina"
Enero 2023:
El Colegio de La Encina organizó un mercadillo Navideño. La recaudación se donó a la ONG Adelante África y a Banco de Alimentos de Madrid.
Este dinero se destinará a la Escuela de Costura para que más niñas puedan aprender este oficio y tengan una alternativa al matrimonio temprano.
Las niñas y niños del Hogar Infantil de Omwaana Tugende nos hicieron un video para agradecer esta donación en su idioma (runyoro) y en swahili. ¡Muchas gracias La Encina Las Rozas!
